Taking Advantage of Being at Home: Quarantine Fashion

It would be easy to stay home and stay in pajamas, and for the first couple days of quarantine, I did just that. At first, it was a blast, but after a little while, I felt grungy so I decided to take this opportunity to wear all the things that I can’t wear at work. I’ve seen posts of some people wearing their wedding dresses, but for me, it’s all about athleisure.

My family has been doing a transformation challenge of our own. We are trying to stay focused on our nutrition and fitness while we are stuck at home so my clothes need to also accommodate that goal. I’ve been wearing all of the high-neck sports bras and cropped tops that I can’t wear to work. I’ve worn leggings, bike shorts, and track shorts! I’ve been able to get all my workouts done during the day. To create some sort of normalcy, my active wear is my work outfit. I feel good and ready for the day when I put on my leggings. I’ve found that continuing to get ready for the day like I would when things were normal has made me feel more motivated to tackle each day. Then the evening comes, and I get all kinds of cozy!

For a long time, I denied myself the comfort of a good pair of joggers; they can’t be worn to work, and I don’t like working out in them so I never bought a pair. It sucked. Functionality ruled my world, but no longer! We are spending so much time indoors that comfort is the most important thing so I bought not one, but two, pairs of comfy joggers! Finding a way to indulge in the high points of being at home has helped me a lot! How are you indulging yourself during quarantine?
