On Revenge
Check out my TikTok video on revenge above 😘
“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.’” (Romans 12:19, KJV)
But are we not here on Earth to do the Lord’s work? 😇

“My friends, do not try to punish others when they wrong you, but wait for God to punish them with his anger. It is written: ‘I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them,’ says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19, NCV)
I struggle with this one. Because I am so very good overt and covert revenge. It is so incredibly satisfying. Why do you think Taylor Swift sings about it on, basically, all her albums?
I am not an Elsa. I cannot “let it go” in this context. I unleash. Hell hath no fury like me, and God help you if you’re in my warpath. I will speak up and out, I will react immediately. Or I will lie in wait. A delayed reaction, if you will. And you will get yours. And it will be embarrassing. Or it will be painful. For any opportunity I miss, due to timing or location, I (begrudgingly) give it to God. But, overall, this is, probably for me, more than anything, what is most difficult for me to trust Him with. How about you?
