A New Year's Eve Eve Story

I was lucky enough to be upgraded on a previous flight and sit next to Jason who’s dating the lead flight attendant of that flight, Yuri. Yuri spoiled me as much as he did he boyfriend, and the three of us discovered that we have a ton in common and kept in touch.

Fast forward to this flight, I had mentioned a few weeks back I might be on it. Yuri didn’t say a word, and then I sent this sad, dramatic photo saying I was missing him on this Delta flight. He asked what seat I was in. All of a sudden, multiple flight attendants came by and said Yuri asked them to take care of me.

Then…as we’re strapped in and ready to take off, the flight attendants come by and say they have a surprise for me. There’s the strapping Yuri. They got me so good!

Yuri had requested to be on my flight, and on his trip back up, he surprised his boyfriend, Jason, who also randomly picked that same day and same plane out. Thank you Universe for the best New Year’s Eve Eve ever 💜
